Actual volume size is different from the displayed volume size
Some users see a volume size that is different from the volume's size displayed on the file server. Volume size displays incorrectly on a Macintosh client computer To make volume size display accurately, do one of the following:
Volume displays incorrectly on a Windows client computer A volume's free space may be displayed incorrectly on computers that have Windows 95 or Windows 98 installed. A share point for a volume that is 2 gigabytes (GB) or greater will display 1.99 GB free space and 0 GB user space. Users can still use the share point. Related topic
